  First stop: Guiyang

The delegation also visited the Guizhou Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall.    Second stop: Kaili

   On July 12, the Guizhou Miao Embroidery Industry Investigation Group led by Sun Huaibin, Vice Chairman of China Textile Federation, arrived at the second stop-Kaili City. Kaili is the capital of the prefecture-level administrative region of Qiandongnan Autonomous Prefecture. It is located in an emerging city in the eastern part of Guizhou Province where the Miao nationality is the main and multi-ethnic population. It is known as the "Pearl of Miao-Dong". In 2008, Kaili Miao embroidery was selected as the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

Under the introduction of Liu Rui, director of the Cultural Industry Office of the Kaili Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department and head of the Miao embroidery special class, the delegation visited the Kaili Miaomei Intangible Heritage Museum, Guizhou Gumiaojiang Embroidery Industry and Trade Co., Ltd., and Kaili Meiwang. Embroidery Farmers Professional Cooperative, Xintian Ethnic Embroidery Crafts Development Co., Ltd.

Kaili Miaomei Intangible Heritage Museum is a comprehensive historical museum with an area of more than 3,000 square meters. It is divided into "ancient ethnic costumes and embroidery exhibition hall", "ancient ethnic household and daily necessities exhibition hall", "contemporary Miao embroidery crafts exhibition hall", There are four exhibition halls in the "Contemporary Miao Nationality Silver Crafts Exhibition Hall" There are more than 1,000 pieces of costumes and embroidery of the Miao and other ethnic groups since the Ming and Qing dynasties, and 152 pieces of traditional old silver ornaments. According to reports, some of the embroidery patterns on the costumes in the museum have long been lost among the folks, and they have become orphans in the world, which aroused great interest among the members of the delegation. At the same time, they conducted in-depth research and exchanges on the business status of Miaomei intangible cultural heritage.

In order to strengthen the promotion of embroidery technology in poverty-stricken areas, improve embroidery technology, labor employment and entrepreneurial skills, adopt the business model of "company + base + farmers" and "intangible heritage + poverty alleviation". By the end of 2020, a total of more than 5,000 embroiderers have been trained. Covering 12 counties and cities including Kaili and Shibing, it has drove a total of 1,100 embroidered women from registered families, recovered more than 3 million yuan of embroidered products, and realized an increase in income of more than 7,000 yuan per household, in order to promote rural women in ethnic minority areas to get rid of poverty and become rich. This broadened the channels, solved the reemployment of many left-behind women in rural areas, and realized further income increase. It not only promoted and inherited the national traditional culture, but also increased their income, and made a positive contribution to poverty alleviation.

   Kaili Meiwang Embroidery Farmers Professional Cooperative was established in May 2019. It is located in the Poverty Alleviation and Resettlement Community of Shangmashi, Kaili City. It is mainly engaged in the processing of ethnic minority costumes and the training of hand embroidery skills for relocated women. Covering an area of 2000 square meters, there are more than 100 sewing machines, 12 embroidery frames, and 115 employees. "Move out, be stable, and get rich." Based on the perspective of providing more jobs for poor households, Yang Mei, the head of the cooperative, promoted embroidery products with ethnic characteristics to many places in the country, and recruited many surrounding poor women who have Miao embroidery skills to establish employment. , The realization of the transition from housewives to women embroidery workers has also promoted the economic development of immigrant communities.
