On November 11, it was learned from the Sinopec official account that Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. and Sinopec Labor Protection Equipment Testing Center established a summer flame retardant tooling scientific research team, taking advantage of Sinopec’s self-produced para-aramid and other fibers to successfully develop Yitex160, a comfortable and breathable summer flame-retardant antistatic fabric with Sinopec's own intellectual property rights.

   The fabric does not have any flame retardant added, and has not undergone any flame retardant finishing. Instead, it is a new high-tech intrinsic flame retardant product developed by using the intrinsic flame retardant properties of the fiber, which has the characteristics of flame retardancy and heat insulation.

   It can be seen from the video screenshot that the flame retardant properties of the fiber itself immediately play a role when it encounters an open flame, and immediately extinguishes itself after leaving the fire source. The burning part is quickly carbonized without melting, dripping or piercing.

   At the same time, a carbon barrier is formed quickly through carbonization, which can prevent further damage to the human body. Effectively protect workers from fire or heat sources.

   It is worth mentioning that the fabric has excellent comfort and friendly dyeing performance in addition to ensuring strong continuous burning and heat insulation performance. Compared with ordinary clothes, wearing this fabric has no significant difference in body feel.

At present, the fabric and tooling have passed the inspection of a third-party authoritative organization. The flame retardant performance, anti-static performance and physical and chemical properties all meet the national standard B level requirements. Fire test shows that the burn injury area is ≤26.0% (secondary + tertiary burn), and the number of washing times has no effect on the flashover protection of Yitex160 fabric, which reflects the essential flame retardant characteristics.
