Polypropylene staple fiber will be used in all walks of life, widely used in geotextile, non-woven fabric, nonwoven fabric, wool, polypropylene yarn, carpet and other textile industry. Polypropylene staple fiber is polypropylene resin as the main raw material, through melt spinning, drawing, curling, drying, shaping, cutting, packaging and into a specified size and length of fluffy fiber.

First, the characteristics of polypropylene fiber:

1. Low density

Among all synthetic fibers, the density is relatively low, about 0.91g/cm3, so it is light in weight and covers a large area per unit weight of fiber.

2. It has high intensity

The strength of polypropylene staple fiber  is similar to polyester, nylon and other high strength synthetic fibers, but the wet strength is almost unchanged, better than nylon.

3. PP polypropylene staple fiber is not only wear-resistant, but also corrosion resistant

Flat wear resistance is second only to nylon, but bending wear resistance is slightly worse. Corrosion resistance: It has obvious stability to inorganic acids and bases.

4. It absorbs almost no moisture.

Polypropylene almost does not absorb moisture, moisture recovery rate is less than 0.03%, fabric shrinkage rate is small, fine denier polypropylene core absorption effect is strong.

5. Excellent electrical conductivity and heat insulation

Polypropylene staple fiber  has high electrical resistivity (710cm) and low thermal conductivity. Compared with other chemical fibers, polypropylene has good electrical insulation and heat insulation, but it is easy to generate static electricity in the process of processing.

6, anti-aging

Alene has low melting point (165~173) and poor stability to light and heat. So the heat resistance and aging resistance is poor, not ironing. However, adding antioxidant in the spinning process can improve the anti-aging property.

Two, polypropylene staple fiber products have two main properties:

One is that it has excellent moisture conductivity, flexibility, excellent mesh and carding properties and excellent thermal adhesion.

Followed by high strength, strong cripe elasticity, light weight, low melting point, good surface air permeability, better acid and alkali resistance and wear resistance than other fibers.

Third, polypropylene staple fiber has many excellent properties, mainly reflected in the following four aspects:

First, it has excellent moisture conductivity and flexibility, excellent mesh and carding properties, and excellent thermal adhesion.

Secondly, polypropylene staple fiber is light, with a density of 0.9 ~ 0.92 g/cm3, which is the lightest of all synthetic fibers. It is 20% lighter than polyamide fiber, 30% lighter than polyester fiber and 40% lighter than viscose fiber. High strength (dry and wet state is the same), good wear resistance and resilience; Antibacterial, mildew proof, moth-proof; Chemical resistance is also better than ordinary synthetic fibers.

Third, compared with other synthetic fibers, electrical insulation and heat insulation is excellent, high electrical resistivity (71019 ohm cm), thermal conductivity is very small.

Fourth, high strength, strong crimping elasticity, light weight, low melting point, good surface permeability, acid and alkali resistance, wear resistance is better than other fibers.
