Polypropylene staple fiber (polypropylene staple fiber) is a synthetic fiber made from polypropylene as raw material. With its light weight, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties, it has become an important material in the fields of textile, home furnishing and industrial materials.

I. Core Characteristics of Polypropylene staple fibers

Lightweight and high strength: With a density of only 0.91g/cm, it is lighter than water and also has a relatively high tensile strength.

Chemical resistance: It has strong resistance to acids, alkalis and organic solvents, and is suitable for industrial environments.

Hydrophobicity: It hardly absorbs water, dries easily, and is often used in outdoor textiles.

Environmental friendliness: Recyclable, and some products can be degraded through modification.

Ii. Brief Description of the Production Process

The production of Polypropylene staple fibers mainly includes four steps: melt spinning, stretching, crimping and cutting.

Melt spinning: After polypropylene particles are heated and melted, they pass through a spinneret to form primary fibers.

Stretching and setting: The fibers are thermally stretched to increase their orientation and enhance their mechanical properties.

Curling treatment: Increase the fluffiness of fibers and improve the processability of textiles.

Cutting and packaging: Cut into different lengths as required (usually 3-150mm), and package the finished products.

Hubei Botao Synthetic Fiber Co., Ltd. was established in November 2002 and is located in Jingmen High-tech Industrial Development Zone, covering an area of 300,000 square meters. It has 5 subsidiaries. Our company is a manufacturing enterprise specializing in the production and sales of polypropylene, polyester, composite fibers, polyethylene fibers, polylactic acid staple fibers and various non-woven fabrics. Our main products are widely used in automotive interiors, geotextiles, carpets, filtration, hygiene, spinning and other industries. By 2024, the company's production capacity of Polypropylene staple fibers will be over 150,000 tons, and that of polyester staple fibers will be 20,000 tons. After more than 20 years of unremitting efforts in the field of polypropylene fiber manufacturing, it has ranked among the top three in terms of sales revenue and market share for five consecutive years, and is currently one of the top three suppliers in terms of polypropylene staple fiber production capacity. On December 25, 2024, the company received the consent letter for listing from the National Equities Exchange and Quotations Company.
