Polyester fiber as one of the five major synthetic fibers, a wide range of applications, today we come to find out what is the difference between polyester filament and polyester staple fiber.

Polyester fiber sub-filament and short fiber in two forms. The so-called polyester filament, a length of more than 1000 meters of silk, filament winding into a group. polyester staple fiber is a few centimeters to ten centimeters of staple fiber.

Polyester fiber features and uses:

Strength: Polyester fiber strength nearly 1 times higher than cotton, wool 3 times higher, so strong and durable polyester fabric.

Heat resistance: can be used in 70 ~ 1700C, synthetic fiber is the best heat resistance and thermal stability.

Elastic: Polyester is close to the flexibility of the wool, wrinkle resistance than other fibers, the fabric is not wrinkle, good security.

Wear resistance: Polyester wear resistance second only to nylon, the second highest in synthetic fibers.

Water absorption: Polyester absorbent moisture regain low, good insulation properties, but due to low water absorption, friction generated static electricity, poor dyeing performance.

Polyester as clothing fibers, the fabric after washing to achieve non-wrinkle, no scalding effect. Often polyester and various fibers blended or intertwined, such as cotton polyester, wool and polyester, widely used in various clothing and decorative materials.

Polyester filament and polyester staple fiber, although different in form, but the basic characteristics are not very different, can be modified according to customer requirements.
