As the temperature rises, cotton farmers generally begin to prepare for farming, and the intention to plant cotton is becoming clearer.

Among the cotton farmers surveyed in the country, the cotton planting intentions remained unchanged, accounting for 67.01% of the total number of surveyed households, a decrease of 0.95 percentage points from the previous month; 18.00% of the cotton planting area was prepared to reduce the cotton planting area by 1.90%; The increase of planting area accounted for 11.35%, an increase of 0.99 percentage points from the previous month; the spring ploughing and broadcasting work began gradually, and the number of households surveyed decreased by 3.64%, a decrease of 1.94 percentage points from the previous month.

The decline in cotton planting intentions in Xinjiang has decreased from the previous period. In March, the weather in various regions of Xinjiang gradually warmed up, creating conditions for spring ploughing spring sowing. Among the surveyed households, 12.18% of the total surveyed households were reduced, which was 1.22 percentage points lower than the previous survey; the increase was 9.73%. Due to the unclear situation of land circulation, etc., 3.20% of the surveyed households were temporarily unable to determine the area of cotton planting, which was 1.85 percentage points lower than the previous period. In the basin of Anhui Province, due to the stable cotton price in 2018, the acquisition market is good, the area of cotton planting intention is flat, and the cotton planting intentions of other provinces have declined to varying degrees.

Due to the end of the cotton sales in the Yellow River Basin, 4.91% of the surveyed households were still unable to determine the cotton planting area. The area of cotton planting intention in this basin was smaller than that in the Yangtze River basin. The area of cotton planting intentions in Tianjin and Shaanxi provinces increased slightly, and the cotton planting intentions in Henan, Hebei, Shandong and Shanxi provinces decreased year-on-year. According to the survey, the proportion of cotton planting area is 20.88%, which is 1.41 percentage points higher than that of the total surveyed households; the proportion of cotton planting area is 13.08%, which is 2.62 percentage points higher than the previous year; The household's 61.13% was 2.03 percentage points lower than the previous month.
